PART A: OFFICIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By submitting an entry to the "Fund My Crazy by Google Gemini" campaign (the "Campaign"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). If you are not eligible, your entry may not be valid.

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you ("Participant," "you," or "your") and Google India Private Limited ("Google," "we," "us," or "our").

2. CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW

2.1 Description

Fund My Crazy by Google Gemini is a student innovation challenge inviting eligible students to submit creative solutions to campus problems. Selected participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and receive prize money.

Total prize money of ₹1,00,00,000 (One Crore Indian Rupees) will be distributed among ten (10) winning participants.

3. ELIGIBILITY

3.1 Basic Requirements

To be eligible to participate, you must:

  1. Be at least 18 years of age as of November 24, 2025
  2. Be a legal resident of India
  3. Be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited Indian college or university during the Submission Period
  4. Have access to Google Gemini for creating submission materials
  5. Comply with all Terms set forth herein

3.2 Ineligibility

The following individuals are NOT eligible to participate:

  1. Employees, contractors, and representatives of Google and its parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates
  2. Immediate family members (parent, child, sibling, spouse) and household members of the above
  3. Individuals who have been banned or disqualified from previous Google campaigns or contests
  4. Individuals residing in any jurisdiction where participation would be prohibited by law
  5. Any other criterion at the sole discretion of Google/Gemini
  6. Individuals not meeting the conditions of 3.1

3.3 Verification

Google reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time. Failure to provide proof of eligibility (student ID, enrollment certificate, age verification) within 5 business days of request will result in disqualification.

Team submissions are permitted (maximum 4 members per team), but:

4.1 Submission Requirements

To participate, you must:

  1. Visit https://fundmycrazy.com/
  2. Complete the official submission form with accurate information
  3. Submit:
    • Personal details (name, email, phone, college, course/year)
    • Idea title and category
    • Description of campus problem being solved (max 100 words)
    • Detailed idea description (max 200 words)
    • Impact statement (max 100 words)
    • Execution/feasibility plan (max 150 words)
    • Visual mockup created using Google Gemini (JPG, PNG, or PDF format, max 25MB)
  4. Agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy
  5. Submit your entries before December 10, 2025, 11:59 PM IST

5. IDEA REQUIREMENTS & RESTRICTIONS

5.1 Content Standards

Your submission must:

  1. Address a genuine campus or student life problem
  2. Be feasible to implement
  3. Be original and your own work
  4. Be appropriate for all audiences
  5. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5.2 Prohibited Content - IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION

CRITICAL: Submissions containing ANY of the following will result in IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION at any stage of the Campaign, including after the winner announcement. No appeals will be entertained.

Submissions must NOT contain, promote, or be related to:

  1. Political Content
    • Political parties, candidates, or electoral campaigns
    • Political ideologies or partisan messaging
    • Content that advocates for or against specific government policies or politicians
  2. Religious Content
    • Religious beliefs, practices, or doctrines
    • Content that promotes or criticizes any religion
    • Religious conversions or proselytization
    • Religious symbols used in divisive or inflammatory manner
  3. Illegal Activities
    • Any content that violates Indian laws or regulations
    • Activities prohibited by the Indian Penal Code or other applicable laws
    • Circumvention of legal requirements or regulations
    • Unauthorized access to systems or data
  4. Hate Speech & Discrimination
    • Content that spreads hatred, enmity, or ill-will between different groups
    • Discrimination based on race, caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, region, language, or any other protected characteristic
    • Content that targets, harasses, or demeans specific communities, groups, or individuals
    • Casteist, racist, sexist, homophobic, or other discriminatory content
  5. Plagiarism & Intellectual Property Theft
    • Ideas copied from others and submitted as your own original work
    • Submissions substantially similar to existing products, services, or published ideas without proper attribution
    • Use of copyrighted material without permission
    • Trademark infringement or passing off
  6. Other Prohibited Content
    • Violence, weapons, or harm to individuals or groups
    • Sexually explicit or suggestive content
    • Defamatory, libelous, or slanderous statements about individuals or institutions
    • Personal attacks on specific individuals, including college staff or administration
    • Promotion of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or other controlled substances
    • False, misleading, or fraudulent claims
    • Malicious code, malware, or harmful technology
    • Privacy violations or unauthorized use of personal data
    • Spam, pyramid schemes, or commercial solicitation
    • Such other content at the sole discretion of Google/Gemini

Important Notes:

Google's decision on what constitutes prohibited content is final and not subject to appeal.

5.3 Campus Policy Compliance

Submissions should not:

Ideas may identify problems with existing systems but must propose constructive solutions, not merely criticize institutions.

5.4 Immediate Disqualification Triggers

Participants will be IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED without warning or appeal if their submission:

  1. Contains political, religious, illegal, or hate-based content as defined in Section 5.2
  2. Targets or demeans any specific community, group, caste, religion, region, or protected class
  3. Is plagiarized or copied from another source and submitted as original work
  4. Spreads misinformation, fake news, or deliberately false claims
  5. Violates any provision of Section 5.2 (Prohibited Content)

Disqualification Consequences:

No Appeals: Disqualification decisions are final and binding. Google is not obligated to provide detailed explanations for disqualifications involving prohibited content.

Google reserves the right to report illegal content to appropriate authorities.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to your submitted idea and materials. By submitting, you do NOT transfer ownership to Google.

6.2 License Grant

By submitting an entry, you grant Google a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to:

  1. Display, reproduce, and distribute your submission materials for Campaign promotion
  2. Use your name, likeness, college name, idea title, and description in Campaign-related marketing
  3. Create derivative works based on your submission for promotional purposes
  4. Publish your submission on Campaign website, social media, and other channels
  5. Feature your idea in case studies, blog posts, press releases, and media coverage

This license survives the end of the Campaign and continues indefinitely.

6.3 Originality Warranty - CRITICAL

You represent and warrant that:

  1. Your submission is your 100% original work created specifically for this Campaign
  2. You own all rights to the submission or have obtained necessary permissions
  3. Your submission does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
  4. You have NOT copied, plagiarized, or substantially borrowed from anyone else's idea
  5. If you were inspired by existing concepts, you have significantly transformed and made them your own
  6. You have the right to grant the licenses described in Section 6.2
  7. If submission includes third-party materials (images, code, content), you have proper licenses
WARNING: Submitting someone else's idea as your own is plagiarism and will result in immediate disqualification and potential legal action. This includes:

Verification: Google may use plagiarism detection tools and web searches to verify originality. You may be asked to provide evidence of your creative process.

6.4 Infringement Claims

If your submission is found to infringe third-party rights, you will be disqualified and may be required to return any prizes received. You agree to indemnify Google against any claims arising from your submission.

6.5 Similarity

Google is not responsible if multiple participants submit similar ideas. Judging decisions on similar submissions are final.

7. JUDGING & SELECTION

7.1 Judging Process

Submissions will be evaluated in two stages:

Stage 1: Initial Review
All submissions will undergo content moderation to ensure compliance with Section 5 (Idea Requirements & Restrictions). Non-compliant submissions will be disqualified without further review.

Stage 2: Judging Panel
Qualifying submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by Google based on the following criteria:

Legal & Policy Compliance is a pass/fail requirement, not a scored criterion.

7.2 Judging Decisions

7.3 Finalist Selection

The top ten (10) highest-scoring submissions will be selected as Finalists and invited to the Finals event in Mumbai.

7.4 Conflicts of Interest

Judges will recuse themselves from evaluating submissions from their own institutions or where personal conflicts exist.

8. FINALS EVENT

8.1 Finalist Obligations

If selected as a Finalist, you must:

  1. Confirm participation within 24 hours of notification on December 12, 2025
  2. Travel to Mumbai, India for the Finals event on December 18, 2025
  3. Attend all scheduled mentorship sessions on December 17-18, 2025
  4. Deliver a live pitch presentation to the judging panel on December 18, 2025
  5. Sign additional winner agreements and releases
  6. Participate in event photography, videography, and media coverage
  7. Comply with all event rules and code of conduct

8.2 Travel & Accommodation

Google will provide for confirmed Finalists:

Travel must be booked through Google-approved channels. Participants cannot receive cash in lieu of travel.

If a Finalist cannot attend the Finals for any reason:

9. PRIZES

9.1 Prize Structure

The ten (10) Finalists who present at the Finals will receive prize money according to the following structure:

Tier 1 (Top 3 Ideas):
₹20,00,000 to ₹25,00,000 each (Twenty to Twenty-Five Lakhs Indian Rupees)

Tier 2 (Next 4 Ideas):
₹7,00,000 to ₹10,00,000 each (Seven to Ten Lakhs Indian Rupees)

Tier 3 (Final 3 Ideas):
₹3,00,000 to ₹5,00,000 each (Three to Five Lakhs Indian Rupees)

Specific amounts within each tier will be determined by the judges based on idea scope and viability.

Total Prize Pool: ₹1,00,00,000 (One Crore Indian Rupees)

9.2 Prize Conditions

9.3 Tax Obligations

IMPORTANT TAX NOTICE:
  1. Prizes are subject to applicable Indian tax laws including Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)
  2. Google will deduct TDS as required by law (currently 31.20% (including cess) for prizes exceeding ₹10,000)
  3. Winners will receive Form 16A or equivalent tax documentation
  4. Winners are solely responsible for reporting prizes as income and paying any additional taxes
  5. Winners should consult tax professionals for advice on their specific tax obligations
  6. Prize amounts stated are pre-tax; net amount received will be less after TDS deduction

Example: A winner receiving ₹10,00,000 will have approximately ₹3,12,000 deducted as TDS and receive approximately ₹6,88,000 net.

9.4 Payment Process

Prize disbursement will follow this process:

  1. Winners must complete KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation
  2. Winners must provide:
    • PAN card copy
    • Bank account details (account number, IFSC code, account holder name)
    • Canceled cheque or bank statement
    • Identity proof (Aadhaar/Passport/Driver's License)
    • Address proof
  3. Winners must sign prize acceptance agreement
  4. Payment will be made via electronic bank transfer within 45 business days of documentation completion
  5. For team winners, payment will be made to the designated primary contact who is responsible for distribution

9.5 Prize Forfeiture

Winners will forfeit prizes if they:

Forfeited prizes will not be awarded to other participants.

9.6 Implementation of Prize Money

Though Prize money is intended to support implementation of the winning idea but the same is not mandatory. While Google does not mandate specific reporting:

Google has no obligation to provide ongoing support, resources, or additional sums beyond the prize amount.

Your participation is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy available at https://fundmycrazy.com/privacypolicy/. In case of conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy, these Terms prevail for Campaign-specific matters.

11. PUBLICITY & MEDIA

11.1 Publicity Rights

By participating, you grant Google the right to use:

Reasonable accommodation will be made for winners who prefer limited media exposure, but some level of participation is required to claim prizes.

You are encouraged but not required to share about your participation on social media.

12. LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

12.1 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  1. Google is not liable for:
    • Technical failures (website downtime, submission errors, email delivery failures)
    • Lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete submissions
    • Unauthorized access to submissions
    • Errors in judging or prize fulfillment
    • Injuries or damages occurring during Finals event
    • Acts of God, force majeure, or circumstances beyond Google's control
  2. Google's total liability shall not exceed the prize amount awarded to you
  3. Google is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
  4. For claims under Part B (Google Terms & Conditions), Google's maximum aggregate liability is limited to US$1,000 as specified in Part B, Section 17
  5. It is understood that since the present contest is being organized by Google in association with its partners, for any liability arising due to responsibilities or acts directly attributable to the organizing Google partner, said partner shall be responsible to indemnify Google. Further, the maximum amount of liability for Google partner's of any nature either to participants shall also be limited to an aggregate total sum of 1000USD, only irrespective of the number of claims. This clause shall be read with clause 17 of Part-B of this T&C where Google can further only be held liable for a maximum liability of 1000USD against participants' claims

12.2 Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and accept:

12.4 Warranty Disclaimer

THE CAMPAIGN IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

13. GENERAL CONDITIONS

13.1 Campaign Modification or Cancellation

Google reserves the right at any time to:

In the event of cancellation, Google will make reasonable efforts to notify participants but is not obligated to award prizes.

13.2 Force Majeure

Google is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to the Campaign shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.

13.4 Arbitration

Any controversy or claim arising out of these Terms shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted in English in New Delhi, India. Seat and Venue of Arbitration shall be New Delhi which will be conducted by a sole Arbitrator.

13.5 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13.6 Waiver

Google's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

13.7 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Google regarding the Campaign and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.

13.8 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms. Google may assign its rights and obligations to any affiliate or successor entity.

14. INTERPRETATION

14.1 Headings

Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

14.2 Language

In case of conflict between English and translated versions of these Terms, the English version prevails.

Winners will be announced:
